The 2008 Conference of the International Association
of Security and Investigative Regulators will be held in Orlando,
Fla., America’s
family fun capital. The annual gathering begins with the Board of
Directors meeting Tuesday, Nov. 4, followed by the general membership
meeting Wednesday, Nov. 5-Friday, Nov. 7.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services is proud to host this year’s conference, bringing
IASIR members together to focus on information sharing and disseminating
best practices surrounding the rapidly changing and fast-growing
security industry.
The venue for the event is the Doubletree Castle Hotel (www.doubletreecastle.com),
just steps from International Drive’s world-famous shopping,
dining and entertainment, and close to all of Orlando’s renowned
attractions. The hotel provides complimentary transportation to the
most popular sights, and theme park tickets can be purchased in the
lobby. Mears Shuttle service (phone 407/423-5566) is available between
the hotel and airport at a current charge of $19 one way and $32
roundtrip.
A block of rooms has been set aside for IASIR at a discounted rate
of $109 per night. Rooms will be available at this rate three days
prior to the conference and three days after.
