2008 Annual Conference – Orlando, Florida, Nov. 5-7

The 2008 Conference of the International Association of Security and Investigative Regulators will be held in Orlando, Fla., America’s family fun capital. The annual gathering begins with the Board of Directors meeting Tuesday, Nov. 4, followed by the general membership meeting Wednesday, Nov. 5-Friday, Nov. 7.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is proud to host this year’s conference, bringing IASIR members together to focus on information sharing and disseminating best practices surrounding the rapidly changing and fast-growing security industry.

The venue for the event is the Doubletree Castle Hotel (www.doubletreecastle.com), just steps from International Drive’s world-famous shopping, dining and entertainment, and close to all of Orlando’s renowned attractions. The hotel provides complimentary transportation to the most popular sights, and theme park tickets can be purchased in the lobby. Mears Shuttle service (phone 407/423-5566) is available between the hotel and airport at a current charge of $19 one way and $32 roundtrip.

A block of rooms has been set aside for IASIR at a discounted rate of $109 per night. Rooms will be available at this rate three days prior to the conference and three days after.

To make reservations, call 800/952-2785 and be sure to identify yourself as an IASIR conference participant. To receive the special rate, reservations must be made by Oct. 13, 2008.

For more information, contact the IASIR office, 888/354-2747 or contact@iasir.org. A tentative agenda and registration information will be available on IASIR’s Web site at www.iasir.org in June.
